Hi all, this is a little out of left field, but if anyone would know, I figured you would. My wife, Tuyen has been craving the dried fish and pork from Vietnam. None of the local stores has it. Do you know a place we can order some? Thanks!

Do you have any local Asian stores? My wife and I can't find any here in Las Vegas either and have my in-laws send us some when they travel back to VN. When we go back next month, we'll definitely be stocking up.

OP, there are a couple asian food stores but they are mainly in the area of Portland it seems, not sure if that works for you. Like the Asian Food Center. Have you tried the place called Just Pho You? It's located in Newberg.  Just googled it.  Sometimes it's difficult for new immigrants to find their local food. In my case we have to drive about 20-30 mins to find a decent hispanic market where I can find some of my argentine products. Or even go near Miami if I want more variety.

Yes we have about 4 Vietnamese groceries and 15 or so of other asian countries. She just wanted to have a taste of home.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, we've been to Just Pho You. It's a nice little restaurant we go to often. The dried fish is like a snack. Been to all the asian groceries.  We'll keep looking

Hope she can find exactly what she wants. I think Portland has more variety in asian food since it's the bigger city. Some of the meals (argentine) that I can not find here in my area, I prepare it myself. I'm a cook at heart so you find me in the kitchen anyways. The results may not be perfect but it keep my food homesick at bay.
