Priority date vs receipt date

Hello,

I've been wondering which date is considered priority date, our application was received on Feb 17, check cashed and receipt mailed Feb 22nd. On NOA1 priority date is Feb 17 but on the online system it states the "we received your case on Feb 22nd". Of course a few days is not a big deal but with a field office as slow as Houston every second matters.
