Intolerance is intolerance, not sure how mass murder comes into play here, you will have to elaborate.

Absolutely intolerance is intolerance. However supporting intolerance AND "death" to the particular group you are intolerant to is certainly a step up. from your "run of the mill" intolerance.

It seems like her tweets included calls for the Bush family's "demise" (Political demise or Literal demise, I guess it's a little vague) so unfortunately for this lady she seems to be included in that "step up" group.

There is a special place in the "fiery below" for people like her, and the white supremacists.

Seems pretty clear.  This professor is calling on all the folks that she says listen to her to take action, and since she didn't specify which Bush family, the only assumption is that all of them should die.  Pretty typical of an MDL spokesperson, and just like the neo-Nazis, white supremacists you rail against.  Interesting you can't see the same thing with this person.

Bush, 92, died Tuesday night just days after her family announced her health was failing.

Amid the backlash to her tweets, Jarrar, who also said she "can't wait for the rest of [the Bush] family to fall to their demise," said that she couldn't get fired from her job at Fresno State because of tenure.

What is your definition of MDL?

i'm sorry but saying "can't wait for the rest of [the Bush] family to fall to their demise," is not calling for them to be murdered, no matter how you look at it.

if someone says, "i can't wait for the clintons to kick the bucket" i don't consider that calling for their murder and certainly not calling for the murder of anyone with the last name clinton.

It's not asking for murder, it's asking/hoping for death.

So I guess if we want to get really specific no it's not as bad as wanting someone murdered. But it's still pretty dang cruel.

if we're being specific, the claim was that this professor was signalling to her followers to murder all those with the surname bush with the statement 'can't wait for the rest of the bush family to fall to their demise'

all i get from that statement is that she can't wait for all the bush family to die. being impatient for anyone to die is cruel, but certainly not outside the bounds of free speech. its an opinion, not a call to action.

Depends on how you interpret it.  Since this professor has gone silent, it is up to us.

Whatever, she is a POS that should keep talking since it has led to more comments than the Death of Barbara Bush as was already pointed out.

I think I have it.

It is not what that is being proposed that matters, it is who is proposing it.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

If that does not get you a pass what does?

"Can't wait for the rest of [the Bush] family to fall to their demise,"

“I hope you can let this go,”

If you interpret the first one to mean that the person wants someone to actively pursue the demise of the Bush family (murder), you would interpret the second sentence to mean that the speaker wants the other person to actively drop the issue.

I'd say the words "Can't wait" are actually a weaker "request for action" than the phrase "I hope".

Jarrar’s tweet generated more than 2,000 replies back to her, with many upset at her and tagging Fresno State and University President Joseph Castro in their comments.

Jarrar, who in her Twitter messages describes herself as an Arab-American and a Muslim-American woman, goes on to maintain that she is a tenured professor and makes $100,000 a year.

“I will never be fired,” Jarrar tweeted.
