I remember Reagan in office but was too young to remember Nancy Reagan. Barbara Bush is the first first lady that I remember from my childhood. Lived a full life, alongside Abigail Adams, she was a first lady and also mother to a President. Always portrayed a strong spouse and mother to her kids. Rest in peace.

It's foreseeable that Pres. Bush the elder will not last much longer.  Men of that age who lose their wives seem to die very soon thereafter.

Just out of curiosity. How can you be old enough to remember Reagan but not Nancy

They said that she asked the pastor, to summon Bill and Hillary and have one sit on each side of the bed.

Less than 8. I always associated Reagan with Gorbachev. The two were on front page all the time, but not Nancy.

Sadness because she is gone, but so many good memories. She always reminded me of a grandmother, a very strong, comforting, pleasant person to be around.
