Hello, a couple of quick queries regarding H-1B premium processing timelines:

1. NOA1 dated May 30 - does "within 15 days" ever mean "within 15 days" or is it likely to be 15 days? Also, presumably 15 calendar days and not working days, so by June 14?

2. Any insight on how busy the London embassy is just now? Is there typically much of a delay when scheduling an interview?

3. What is the standard timeline from interview to having passport, with visa, in hand?

I shouldn't be antsy, I realize that I am lucky to have the premium processing option. However, to fit with my projected employment contract timeline I need to enter the states no later than June 24. Currently, I am finding it difficult to believe that this will be possible given the information above. My employer's legal team seem to think it is fine, but some genuine, recent experiences would certainly reassure me!

Apologies, I have not read all 19 pages of this thread...so maybe my answer is buried within. I read pages 1 and 16-19! 😳

In case anyone is interested:

I received my approval on June 6, so 7 days after the date on my NOA.

I completed the online application process the same day (it took me approx. 2 hours, accounting for repeated website glitches and timing out...)

The first appointment at the London embassy was July 2nd, so 25 days after completion of DS-160.

Time for passport return is stated to be up to 5  business days to hand to the courier and a further 2 days for delivery.

So all in all, approx. 33 days from receipt of petition for premium processing H-1B until it will be possible to travel to the states. In case anyone else had a similar query :)

Hi

We had our interview on april 3rd at Mumbai.

Experience here below.

First step : Go to Counter 1 to collect token number

Second step document verification by indian officials at the counters by token number.

Third Step : Final interview by american officials. I was asked basic questions like when i came to the US. What was my job. What made me come under the extra ordinary abilty. What visas i held previously.

My husband: When we got married. Where he lived in the Usa. What was his job

After this he gave us the your visa is approved slip and sent us away.

It was 11:40 by the time we had our interview. The interview lasted about 8-10 minutes .

We were the only EB1 category. Rest all appeared to be family or spouse visa.

Received passport in 3 business days and entered USA successfully .

Now the wait for the card to be sent home.

Have all your paperwork. It should be smooth.

Goodluck to everyone.

Do you know why it took so long for NVC to schdule your interview. Was it because of the glitch in the system or is it because EB applicants are down in the priority ?

Hi guys, I read almost all the posts since 2018 and I have a few questions.

My name is Sebastian, I’m from Romania, 25yrs old, graduated computer science engineering in 2017. I’ve been to USA multiple times as a j1 but I couldnt find a job in my field”IT/engineering”. I’ve been digging the internet for the past few months, contacted companies and asked for h1b/eb3(it jobs) but I couldnt find any employer who would help me out. The only company who can help me find a job is “mercan.com” they seem to be legit, they charge

9-10k(4.5k deposit and the rest if i140 is approved) The issue with that company is that they have housekeeping jobs. I spoke with an immigration attorney and having a housekeeping eb3 with a bachelors degree in engineering wouldnt be a good idea. Why? It would raise questions at the green card interview.

Can anyone help me with any info please? I dont know how or where to find a job. I tried linkedIN, glassdoor.com, indeed, myvisajobs.com(searched for employers who filed h1b in the past and I called a bunch of companies). Not sure if it’s an isssue but most of them were indian companies, and rejected me instantly after telling them I’m from romania, Europe.

Sebastian you can apply for the diversity lottery visa www.dvlottery.state.gov

Which will hold on October to November or take your chance with mercan or do both.

The company you are describing sounds like a scam. There is no way it is legitimate to get an EB3 to do housekeeping. Unfortunately if you don't have an existing relationship with an employer its going to be a very difficult process. The best bet is to get an education in the US and then through OPT build a relationship with an employer that can then lead to an H1B and then EB3

Yea I actually thought it’s a scam too, but aparently they’re on the market since 1989, over 10 offices(canada, etc etc)reviews on google and facebook. They work with allimmigration(I believe) a very big group of attorneys(20yrs experience) and I also checked bdvsolutions.com. Aparently they seem to have a database with employers who need  unskilled workforce like hotels and stuff.
