Hello all!

I just wanted to share my experience . My interview was on the 7th of November  at 8:30am - Hong Kong Consulate . I went to the interview with my husband.

Only 3 questions were asked :

1. What was your masters degree major?

2. You will be based in ******? (city in the usa where we are moving to)

3. Have you ever overstayed any previous visa?

The CO then told us everything looked good but he will still have to do some desk work which will take him a couple of days. He gave us a blue Administrative Processing form and told us we will get a call soon.

We checked our status when we got back home and saw that we were placed on admin processing (the agony!).

We checked everyday till the 13th when it changed to Issued. We got a call from the consulate to come in and sign a document and pick up our passports the day after.

Passports picked up and process over FINALLY!

Just thought to update the forum and wish everyone else the best going forward.

Cheers!

Had my interview yesterday, Approved..

I was asked mainly about my work for the company, what we did, how did I get that job, why me?. Just relax and answer everything truthfully.

Congratulations.

Has anyone here gone through their interview and POE? Care to share your experience with either one? I'm currently scheduled for an interview in 2 weeks.

I wrote about my exit interview questions earlier but to my experience at the POE:

I waited 2 hours(!) just for passport control. After fingerprinting I was escorted to secondary where the whole process including waiting time was around 15-20 min. They didn't ask anything except to confirm the address where I want the PR card to be sent. They also didn't need the 7.5 cm pile of documents. I basically got my I-551 stamp and I was good to go. Now I'm eagerly waiting for my SSN and PR card.

How long have you been waiting for your SSN?

When you go to the SSA office, ask them if they can at least tell you your SSN.

That's the plan. Hopefully they can give some kind of official document as well because I need to apply for an apartment before Thanksgiving!

My interview was scheduled for 27th of this month, but my petitioner requested that I reschedule to a later date yet to be confirmed because they don't have a job offer from any of their clients for me and there a lot of us in my specialty awaiting job offers.

I will be having job placement interview tomorrow, hopefully I will get it and then take it up from there.

My questions pls

Has anyone had the experience of rescheduling, can one attend the exit interview without medicals?

Finally got an interview appointment in January. Yippee!

As far as I can tell from the state department website, all I need (except my original civil docs) is a job offer letter from my employer dated within one month of the interview date. My employer sent me the entire application package plus a completed affidavit of support (which I thought was just for the family-based cases). Did anyone else take these or were asked for them during their interviews?
