My wife just got her SSN  with her new married name on it. Is that enough to get an AD STATE id?

Depends on the state.  My wife tried, but she had her married name on the SS card, but her maiden name on her Passport, so no go.  If she had gotten her SS card in her maiden name, then maybe, as she would have had two forms of ID with one with a photo.

I would just go with the passport, birth certificate, visa and marriage certificate and see what they do. Every office is so different even within the same state. Which is crazy I know.    Good luck!

Go get her a state fishing or hunting licenses and use that as back up ID for getting a state ID

State ID and DL vary by state, which state are you in?

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.
