Problems with these kind of evidence usually occurs at the embassy stage not uscis stage.

embassy knows more about customs & traditions and can decide the couple is too married.

Also, what is "too married"? Like it appears a couple is trying to hard to appear legit?

I don’t think so cause it depends highly on the country and it’s traditions. In Ghana for example it is risky because of their traditions and also in other countries. You should be open and honest about it and hopefully they won’t look at it twice. But as I said we hear engagement causing denials from Ghana a lot.

Well in some countries and traditions even an engagement can be unofficially marriage. Religious weddings and ceremonies can actually be counted as married. Not being recorded in does not affect the legitimacy, just like some countries can count de facto relationships as marriages. So just because a registry didn’t happen officially does not always mean a ceremony was not counted as a wedding.

hence too married for k1 cause not counts as fiancé in some cultures, but not married enough to apply for cr1 because they didn’t legally register it (which can be illegal by the way if the country gives you a limit for registry like all marriages should be officially registered in 30 days or so.)

Geez, well we have a pretty easy embassy from what I've heard anyway. A lot of reviews for the one in London say they don't even really ask anything. It's usually easy approvals but I want to sit down with my fiance anyway and still do practice questions. I think it'll be fun.

Most likely not for the UK.  But for SE Asia and Africa it can be a big deal

YMMV

The pictures in our matching attire  that were submitted when I front loaded was from a night out  at a family function. [Clearly stated in the description of the photo] it was NOT for an engagement or even a photo shoot. We did NOT have an engagement/reception etc.. I did not know how to word it in the  description so I simply put engagement photos with a question mark..  I just hope they dont assume our matching garments were for an engagement etc.. but if the CO is familiar with Ghanaian culture and customs they will know what we are wearing is NOTHING traditional about it.... However,  I will be heading back to Ghana in a few months to help my fiance with evidence of our relationship when we get to the embassy phase.. We were thinking about having an engagement party  and to bring those photos to his interview but now I see its not a good idea. ..I appreciate the feedback.. Thanks everyone!

I did not even send a single picture since my phones SD card died which unfortunately had our pictures together.  Got approved without RFE nevertheless but my story is different.

No, he was referring to the Ghana embassy I'm assuming..but it can be the same case in other embassies, once where their culture does these types of ceremonies. I'm pretty sure your case is fine, I'm not sure I would have sent in 80-90 pages of items...that is not really necessary.

That's a matter of opinion. Every case is different.
