sending original paperwork to fiance... need help..

I sent most of the originals to the service center, but it says to send the originals to my fiance now as well... I have originals of the newest information, but the other things such as the 325, and the bio info. are copies.. not sure what to do, and i need to send this asap.. grr,, thanks ,, Brian

you had to send originals of the signed forms, saving copies of those are fine. send whatever original evidence you still have in your possession to your fiance.

this is mostly insurance, in case they lose something and ask to see originals at the interview.

if you don't have them, you can't turn back the clock and un-send them. send whatever you have and that's all you can do.

Or try and recover some of what you sent. For instance, if you sent an original birth certificate, you should still be able to get another one from the state in which you were born. Divorce decrees (if applicable) can be obtained from the court, etc.

USCIS form G-884 can be submitted to request that the originals get returned to you. It might take a while though.

Alternatively, you could go back to the issuing authority and request new certified copies.

Finally, your fiancee can go to the interview with copies and explain what happened.

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.

At the discretion of the officer, original documents may still be required in individual cases. I agree with TimDaisy. Send what you have and make sure that your fiance has a copy of everything that you sent in.
