Packet Rejected Twice! (Please Help)

Hello, 

I am applying for the I130 and I485 and I have received a rejection notice from USCIS for the second time and I am unclear as to why. According to the I797C notice, it states that the payment amount is incorrect, or has not been provided.  The first time I sent the payment, it included the biometric fee along with the i485 fee ($1225) but they rejected that. This time, I removed the biometric fee, paying a total of $1140, and they still said the amount is incorrect. 

Has anyone ran into that problem?

 

In case it makes a difference,  I765 and I131 are also attached to the packet but from everything I have read, it states that the fees are waived if filed concurrently. is there something I am missing?

What about i130 fee? Did they accept your i130 and the payment and rejected i485 package along with the fee?

Yes, they accepted the I130 along with the fee!

hey doesn't the I-130 come with its own separate fee? the I-485 (inc the I-765 and I-131) plus biometrics is already $1,225.

 

so maybe you need to have sent $1,225 plus whatever fee is the cost of the I-130?

$1,225 is the correct fee, but this sometimes happens when you use the wrong edition of a form.  Check all the forms, for being the most recent edition.  Most likely, it's the I-765, as it was updated twice last year.

Are you applying for a spouse? Or parents? Or kids? Is the beneficiary in the US?

Hey! You need to add $535.00 and $1,225.00 which totals $1,760 (this is coming from someone with first hand experience 😊). It’s the reason why your application keeps on being rejected. Form I-130 is a separate fee and form i-485, I-131 and I-765 are a combined fee of $1,225.00 (including the biometrics).

 

if they accepted your I-130 look on the top right hand of your I-797C and it should tell you the payment of the form i-130 and the balance remaining as well. They probably subtracted $535 from the intitial $1,225 that you sent and therefore the remaining balance does not cover your I-485.

Paid $1225 last month for ours and it was just fine. I agree with the other posters and check the form.

Sorry to hear about your rejection. Take a look of the reasons why uscis may reject ur packet as it relates to fees.

I have also experienced the exact same issue with incorrect or payment has not been provided.  I used a local attorney and the first rejection she claims it's an USCIS error as the check has been cashed by USCIS. We resubmitted the package to be rejected again . What could be going on? Please help

What did you submit the first and second time?
Mine got rejected once and still no update for the second submission so far.

I submitted $535 for the I 130 with the updated forms and they cashed the check,  my lawyer resubmitted the paperwork explaining the USCIS error but received the second rejection.  Made the correct payments to I485 and already did the biometrics

So you i485 was accepted but not the i130? Sounds weird because if it's the whole package, i130 should be accepted before i485 can be accepted.

The tier 1 officers are completely useless, and I could never get to tier 2. Was transferred to tier 2, asked to wait until call back. They never did. I called like 3 days in a row. No call back.

It's really frustrating.

Its extremely frustrating and obviously causing unnecessary delays. I dont know what to do? Or they just want me to make another $535 and resubmit the I130 again..
