Sorry, I’m confused as to why a Russian citizen would schedule the K1 visa interview in Kiev?  I didn’t think that was possible.

Because Embassy in Moscow has huge delays. We don't want to wait for almost a year for the interview... It's actually possible to get it scheduled not only in Ukraine but also in Poland, Lithuania and Estonia.

OK, interesting.  You’ll be glad to know that Kiev is one of the quickest and they’re very professional.

So, I can understand that you wouldn’t want to travel to Kiev twice if you didn’t have to.  To save money I’d recommend Airbnb, and thankfully food and accommodations in Kiev are pretty cheap.

With that strategy in mind you might wait to get the medical exam until your interview date is scheduled.  Do it at least two weeks in advance.  Then schedule your medical appointment within a week of that date.  It will be a little risky to schedule it closer than three business days prior to your interview.

As as a side note my fiancée had her exam in Kharkov with the interview in Kiev.

As this is the last step, I would want to be very careful and do it right the first time.  I’ve read that coming back after the interview with medical exam results is possible, but again I wouldn’t recommend giving them any reason to deny your visa.

I'm from Russia but going to have an interview and medical check in Kiev. Do I have to go there twice? Is there a chance I can do the check and then in several days interview?

After reading this topic I understood that after getting the visa they were able to fly to him together, is this an option?

I'm new to the whole thing, we just finished preparing the documents :)

the closest you can get is like today the medical and 2 days later the interview.....that is possible in Kiev, but be aware that if something comes up with your medical, then you are going to have to reschedule the interview

How is it possible? The embassy specifically says you can't have your exam anywhere but Kiev. There are 2 places now and both are crowded by what people post here, so it is reasonable to schedule the medical as early as possible. I have already agreed to spending at least 2 days for medical in Kiev because doing it with a K2 child and going there again for the interview. I have read plenty of stories that the x-ray is not working properly at Antonovicha and people having to reschedule the medical or having to come again next day etc

My fiancé had her medical exam today at 15 Tarasivska Street in Kiev and it is my understanding that the medical can only be done in Kiev as well.  Not a very long wait for an appointment - called Thursday of last week and had appointment today. Can pick up medical packet tomorrow after 2pm.

Got some input on SSN and the AOS process so far, but I'll pick up in another thread.  Best wishes to everyone on the back half of their K1s.

I hear that it's sweater weather in Ukraine now... it's still sweaty weather in Louisiana.
