It has been more than 120 days since my interview. I received an RFE and I replied within 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything since. I called and also had an infopass appointment last month and each time it has been pending. I have another infopass appointment on Monday. How can I get more information about my application? What should I ask the IO during my infopass appointment? I applied under the three year rule and my husband and I are still happily married. We are travelling abroad during his birthday which is in a few months and I wanted a decision by then at least so we can travel more than a few countries. Is contacting the ombudsman worth it at this point?

I got recommended for approval last Wednesday but my online status on both sites hasnt changed yet people in the same city I am in who went after me, got the oath letter printed the same day. I am getting a little nervous.

yours seem a bit much though 120 days is too long, you need to contact them again.

I was recommended for approval.  I hope mine doesn’t take this long.

has anyone at your same field office on this website or on that trackitt website gone for an interview after you? are they also waiting?

FYI - the 120-day clock stops during the RFE process.

This isn't correct.

"Sometimes USCIS continues the initial examination on the naturalization application and instructs the applicant to submit additional evidence. USCIS will then schedule a reexamination of the applicant. See 8 C.F.R. § 335.3(b). Even when this happens, however, courts have held that USCIS still must make its decision within 120 days of the initial examination. See, e.g., Angel v. Ridge, 2005 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 10667 (S.D. Ill. 2005) (explicitly finding that the 120-day period ran from date of first interview, not a rescheduled interview)."

Hi,

I am applying under the rule of three years too. I need to know did you fill your residential and employment information for three years or five years?

Thanks

Please don't pollute other threads because you didn't get an answer in yours.  Give them the information they ask for, the online form will make it clear what they want.

I guess my question is what does touch usually mean ? Does it mean someone actively reviewed my file or does it mean someone just glanced at it? They touched my file 122 days after my initial review. The IO didn’t have any other information other than that. He also asked me to give it 30 days. Should I wait or should I start contacting ombudsman or senators etc ?

I made the mistake of filling it for 5 years since I’ve been here for 14 years. Which made it look like I travelled a lot more or moved a lot more during my green card when I just moved twice and have lived in my current house 3 years and which I own. And maybe travelled a total of 30 days in 5 years. But they were short 4 or 5 day trips and do seemed a lot more.
