I had a RFIE back in October and mine was approved on January 10th. Potomac Service Center. So for everyone’s information, a RFIE does not reset a case.

No it doesn’t rest a case but I hope you hear something soon

So, you haven't received any emails or mail yet? I have to set up my account but I am not sure what A-number is?

@Sonone we have since received the official NOA2 letter in the mail at my wifes home US address.

Received the  I -130 approval last weekend so I checked on the IR1/CR1 visa historical processing times. Either I,m reading the graphs wrong or it's telling me i have another 168 days to wait!!!:ranting:

Can anyone else confirm this as another 6 months has surely got to be an overestimate.

Unfortunately, that 168 number seems somewhat accurate.

NVC will give you a Case Number in about 8 weeks.  Then let's say it takes you a week to do the application and upload the  paper work that they will ask you for. After that, they'll take 2-3 weeks to get back to you, and will give your beneficiary an interview date a month later.  And then a month after that, he/she will finally be approved.

So, doing the math in weeks:   8 + 1 + 3 + 4 + 4 = 20 weeks

Hi all Nebraska folks,

What address did you mail your additional evidences for the RFE? My RFE letter didn’t state the returned address and there is no enclosed envelope.

Finally I received a RFE copy by fax (the actual letter should be lost in mail). I would call this is a stupid RFE though...

It requested me to provide a name change proof (evidence must be registered with civil authority) of my name, the petitioner. I put my English nickname on I-130 where it asked other name was used. My legal name has never been changed and I have never put this nickname on any of my legal documents.

My question is how I should respond to my RFE? Can I write a letter explain my name situation? And submit the Affidavits from my brother and dad to prove both names are the same person?

Thank you.

Hi guys, my PD was 04/02 and on 10/09/18 my case status read USCIS had requested for an RFE, I asked wifey but she said she never received any paperwork so we requested for an address change, it was successful and completed and my case history later changed to ‘we received your response to our request for evidence 11/13/18 then on 15/13/18 it read ‘your inquiry about a request for evidence that you did not receive was assigned to an officer for response’ which was later completed. Apparently, USCIS never resent the RFE or could their be a lapse somewhere? So much confusion because my attorney said he wrote USCIS regarding my RFE.

Hi!!!!

I’m so happy now! I know it’s little bit early to say but I have to say that I might get NOA2!!

No email, no new-website and old-website updates. I only got a notice from USPS that the letter from USCIS will come.

I don’t know if it is NOA2.. it could be an REF but still, I’m soooo happy... will see.

NOA1 date was April 9th for old website and April 12th for new one.

it’s a bit longer than normal processing time on USCIS.. so we submitted e-request on Jan 19th(A day after passing normal processing time) and called 24th if visa was approved but what they said was you have to wait...But! as you can see the pic I attached, it was sent on Jan 23... What the.. lol anyways It was quite fast after e-request.

I’ll update again if it’s an REF 😂
