I, petitioner, live abroad in Paraguay. My husband, the petitioner, lives in Spain.

I mailed the the I-130 petition to the Chicago lockbox on April 11.

It was delivered on April 19.

My check was cashed and I got my e-notification on April 24, saying forwarded to Nebraska Service Center

Now waiting for NOA1 letter in the mail. According o uscis case status website, they mailed that to me on April 19. Given how long it takes me to get mail down here, I'm hoping to get their letter in two weeks max.

I see people are hoping the data on VJ is right and saying 6-7 month processing. Still, on USCIS's processing times website it says 9-11.5 months at the Nebraska service center for IR1/CR1.

Mine was delivered on Thursday April 19, 2018 to the Chicago Lockbox according to USPS and they cashed the check and sent email notification on Tuesday April 24. So 10 days seems weird but you filed at another lockbox. Might be normal for Phoenix?

Thank you for the response. I think its better for me to wait til the end of the week, if I still dont get an update then it worth calling their office.

Hello just wondering, since I still havent received any notification. I sent the packet on April 14th to arizona

I wrote my email/phone number in the petitioner section on the i130. Is that what they use to send the email confirmation?

Do you know when they got your package? You should've received the notification email by now. I think you should follow up. As far as I understood, it only takes up to a week for them to send you an email/text notification.

Where did you actually write your email? You should've attached form G-1145 for email/text notifications.

Yes the shipping tracker shows that it was delivered on April 16th but no other update. Can i mail the G-1145 separately now because I didnt include it

I think you should follow up to see if they sent or going to send the notification letter. I think even if you did not fill out form G-1145, you should receive the official letter in the mail. So, just to be sure things are on track, I would check to see if they mailed the letter.

My package was received on April 13 and I received the mail on April 24 or 25 (I don't exactly recall). So, you are not really late for getting the letter.

Don’t worry! The G-1145 is only needed for the NOA1 email and text notifications. You can’t mail it separately but you won’t need to. You will receive your NOA1 hard copy in the mail around 7-14 days after your package was received.

Hi thank you all for replying and yes I did get the letter in the mail when I came home yesterday. ^_^ My priority date is April 16th and it was sent to Texas So I got the letter in the mail 12 days after the packet was sent.

@Lillyandkip does that mean I wont get notifications for NOA2 etc?

The G-1145 is only for NOA1. You can create an online account with USCIS and they will send you text or email notifications once there is an update on your case.

April 2018 as well.

This is all so new to me, just a waiting and learning game from here on out for my husband and I.

My husband is an american citizen and he filed for me. I've received the letters that the petitions were received and being processed.

April  19th is the date I think and I'm not too sure what office they are at... Is that on the letter? I'll have to check that out.

We filed the I-130 and I-485 together, checks were cashed right away.
