Hi

I am a first time poster and have realised a huge mistake in my AOS documentation i sent off to the Chicago Lockbox 2 weeks ago.

I firstly did not realise that the I-130/a forms had a seperate fee of $535...stupid of me I know!

Worse still I also did not realise i had to submit I-130a with the package.

I cannot believe I made such mistakes after working on the forms for weeks!! I'm just wondering does anyone know the best course of action?

I am due a call back from the Tier 2 customer service today, so I will ask them has my package been sent back.

Does anyone have any experience with how long it will take them to send me the package back?

I am so sick over this, I cannot believe I made such a silly mistake :-(

They send it back quickly - I believe I received my petition back within two weeks. I overpaid by $5.

So my best course of action is to wait for it to come back and be ready to send the missing documents and fee the same day ?

All you can do is wait for it to come back...they can't accept the I-485 (or I-765 or I-131 if they were sent with it) without a pending I-130.

While sending it back the same day is optimal, I suggest reviewing the entire packet contents to ensure everything is in order. Check all instructions + the guide here (http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2).

I-130: $535

The I-130A is part of the I-130 packet...so no extra fee.

If filing for AOS concurrently (i.e. USC's spouse is currently inside the US)

I-485: $1140 + $85 biometrics = $1225

I-765: $0 with an I-485

I-131: $0 with an I-485

I-864: No fee
