Military Records

Hello all,

 

My fiance has his military records and card but are expired. It will take several months to get them updated. Could he present his old documents to his K1 visa interview in Algeria?  Thank you in advance!

I will like to make an update on this topic. Only a current Military Certificate (with translation)  was required. This document was returned at the end of the interview in Algeria.

sorry but i really need this information becouse we are in the same situation my Military  Certificate  is die lol becouse i finiched my study so ? i have juste old ?

Hello Rani, my fiance had an expired military card so he went ahead and got a current Military Certificate to make sure we had everything we needed. It did not take long for him to get the certificate. There is not much information about this topic so you may try using the expired one if you can't get a new one. Good luck!

when they sent me the pakcage to prepare for the interview they asked for the military card , so yes i think it required

It was a very pleasant experience. You will need for sure the Military Certificate and they never asked for the military card but not all the cases are the same.

Hello Abdeslam, the package is not very clear on what exactly is required. Only it says Military Records. We could not get a non expired military card on time for interview and this is why my fiance got a current military certificate. They might even take expired ones, but for us it was kind of risky.

i dont think so becouse if he was young man  he cant have the military card you know ,he can get juste the certifcate  i think so

Im algerien i have 25 yo we applied for cr1 and now we are waiting for case number from NVC , in my situation i never received any call or letter from military i think is not important this , they want paper just if he served in military like job in same country or other , but if you are talking about

" الخدمة العسكرية"  او الخدمة الوطنية " service militar " i think is not requiered , just ask him and tell me ,, good luck
