Bismillah ir rahmen ir rahmim

Esalaamu aleikum Rahmat Allah wa baraketu sisters..

I just would like to thank everyone for their duúas and offers of help. Jazak Allah kheirn.

Unforunately, my husband's condition is only worst. icon_cry.gif Nothing wailou is helping him. The doctor that his best friend found is a bone specialist (not spine) but elhamdullah the doctor is doing his best to help and aide me in this situation.

The bedside manner of the doctor is excellent. Very caring machAllah...not to be found really in the US or Europa I think. Unforunately resources are low...and pain management is basic.

But elhamdullah I am here with my husband at his side. From the AM until right after icha. I would stay all the night but they will not allow me. My french and dardja are improving by the day as it is essential i know what's going on here. They ae not for sure what is it...but definately spinal trauma of some sort.

This whole ordeal has been extremely embaressing for him. You all konw what I mean. when a man has to depend on a women, for everything... trying to be macho and brave, meanwhile screaming in pain. His leg has started to get numb and not able to move it now. But the miskeen dear is handling it well ... squeezing my hand when it hurts and trying to smile. I donnot let him see me cry thou... Imust not you know.

The best friend of my husband has helped us much by carting my husband around and helping me carry him... so may Allah give him ajr. amin.

He had his operation, where they took out the whole disk and some nerves that were damaged in the spine. Also had some work done in his thigh, which I could not understand quite what they had done. He seemed to be doing fine right after...moral good and even thou could not move he was alert.

2 days later thou high fever, signs of infections and terrible pain. Still paralyzed. icon_cry.gif They said the op went well, but afterwards he develpoed some infections from the other patients in his ward. SubhanAllah! Even thou I cleaned all the rooms they ever put him in...bed sheet changes daily...this happened... They are here the nurses kind but I think untrained. I had before decided to just adminstir him the meds myself and do the IV inserts myself. I know as his wife and someone who is more patient that I will do it right...not to hit outside wall of the vein as they had been doing...causing him so much unnessary pain and brusiing.

He will enchallah as soon as he can move his torso area...he can move move the arms and necks...start therapy slowly of course...so enchallah maybe by 2 months he can walk...we are reallly praying for that! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

I have took him off morphine even thou he is in terrible pain...he cannot feel his lower back and legs... and i know he cannot contiune with morphine. It is back to Feldene and Voltarene unfortunately with much much caution. I am basically force feeding him ...as he has gotten so thin and needs to eat when taking these meds. I really hate having to give him Voltarene...but I know morphine would be worst.

Anyway enough of this venting and crying. May this bring us together closer as a family and purify our souls. Amin.

And elhamdullah I am able to be of service to my husband in this time...I could not imagine it any other way.

Again thank you for all the prayers.

Allah Maaki
