Received a 2nd Greencard?

I applied for removal of conditions in September 2016. I finally got my 10 year greencard last month, together with the approval letter. So I was really happy that it finally went through since my 2 year greencard has been expired for a while by then.

 

But now today I received another letter from USCIS, it's another greencard?! Same name, same picture, same A#, etc. But there's a slightly different expiration date and the number on the back of the card is different too. And this mysterious second greencard says I've been a resident since 03/01/18 while the one I got first correctly says 09/29/14, so I'm pretty sure the second one is some kind of mistake. But how can it even happen that they issue 2 Greencards to the same person? 

 

Should I make an info pass appointment so I can bring both cards and show them? I'm worried somehow having two cards on my file will cause issues when I apply for citizenship later this year!

 

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? That USCIS just sends another greencard by accident? I tried googling but I didn't find anything.

I would make an Infopass appointment and bring both green cards to show them. They can decide what they want to do from there.

Something is definitely up at USCIS because they've sent out two green cards to two people now that we know of and they've also sent out a huge batch with the wrong dates on. Mine says resident since 03/15/18, expires on 03/29/28. It should say resident since 11/24/14, expires on 03/15/28.

Is there no quality control process at USCIS??...I mean, wow, just wow......

 

I get they are slow and infuriating to deal with, but this is A grade incompetence.

Definitely something really wrong. I just heard of a ROC case where they sent an i90 letter to say you have been denied, only they hadnt applied for a replacement card, they received that letter yesterday. Today they received a letter to say that i-90 case, the one they actually haven't applied for has been reopened. Now this can only mean two things, they have HUGE computer issues or HUGE training issues!  That's all very well, but it doesn't help the people who are on the receiving end of this, unless of course they want to do a mass fee reimbursement for all the long waiting times and errors! Now there's a thought.

What I hope happens is they will realize a whole batch of cards went out with the wrong dates and do something about it that doesn't involve us waiting 12 months for a new one.
