Hello,

My husband has a green card lottery .He proposed me before he went in America. We got married before he left. At the moment he is in America and I’m in Macedonia. He is only one month there and he got his social number. He still doesn't work yet but he will start for a month.

Any advice how can I go to America and be together?

You can apply for follow to join benefits, because you two got married before he was admitted as a LPR into the US.

Here, this isfrom USCIS Policy Manual:

Quote

Derivative Spouse

In general, the derivative spouse of a principal beneficiary may be accorded the same priority date and classification as the principal provided that:

The marriage between the principal and the derivative spouse existed at the time the principal either adjusted status or was admitted to the United States as a lawful permanent resident (LPR); [38]

The marriage continues to exist at the time of the derivative’s adjustment of status; and

The principal remains in LPR status at the time the derivative adjusts status.

Also, I imagine you are saying your cousin was the Sponsor for the Affidavit of Support of your husband. Your cousin can also be your sponsor if he has an annual income enough for the requirement of his household plus 2 (you and your husband).

Your cousin, however, can not be your Visa Sponsor.

@G&V_M You might still be considered "Accompanying" your husband if you are issued a visa within 6 months of your husband, you should get in contact with your embassy to see how to do the process, let's hope you can do it this way.

I agree should ask embassy if can do it like this, cousin can add her to financial sponsorship and then she can basically leave as soon as the embassy can give her an interview and issue a visa. Way cheaper and faster than any other way if it can work. Certainly no harm in asking if it applies to her case.

But if that is meassured from the Visa interview, that window might end in May, @G&V_M should ask as soon as possible.
