Medical request after ap and visa approval

My husband recieved and email requesting his passport. We sent his passport then his case status changed to issues then we recieved an email stating his passport was stamped and ready to be picked up then his case status went back to admin processing. We called th embassy they are saying he now needs another medical because his expired. Anyone else had this issue. What can we expect next

The validity period of the visa is restricted by the validity of the medical. If the medical expires (or is about to expire), then a new one is necessary before they will issue the visa.

 

Next? Do the medical, send in the results, and await the visa.

So after he sends his medical he will most likely recieve a visa because they already said he was approved pending a new medical. Will ha have to redue the interview. They never stated that. They also never took his passport ohotos although our attorney had sent 2 in prior to his first interview
