@kenikki,

I have peeped at your timeline and noticed your interview date was all the way in June.

When did you get the okay to book your interview?

And was your June date the earliest that was available or did you choose it for other reasons?

If you could elaborate on your case that would be great!

@K1visaHopeful Uggg... won't let me go back to edit... Let's try this again:

I was able to schedule as of April 26. The earliest dates that were available to me were May 23 (Wednesday) and May 25 (Friday). As I knew I would be returning from a trip on May 13, I didn't take either of those dates as I wanted time to prepare. The next available date was June 6 (Wednesday), which is what I booked.

I am not 100% sure, but I think they only provide you with dates starting one month out from when you are able to schedule (might have something to do with making sure that you have adequate time to finalize travels plans if required). If that is incorrect, please feel free to correct me. In my case, the available dates started roughly one month out. I checked again today and it isn't showing me any available interview dates.

Could you elaborate on your comment of "...all the way in June?" Have you seen other cases where interviews were scheduled immediately? I feel like even though it's slightly over a month out from when scheduled, there is still so much left for me to get done before then.

There are only specific dates available.  Not every day will be open and I believe starting in June, people were reporting that Montreal again was switching to K1 interviews on Wednesdays only.

No I just didn't realize there would be a month wait at MTL.

I've heard alot of other embassies have a quick turnaround time (aka once your status is ready and you've completed packet 3, interviews are available within days/a few weeks).

Guess that isn't the deal with MTL but that was exactly what I was asking.

...if it was a month's wait to schedule or if you had a reason for scheduling "allll the way in June".

Packet 4 received today via email:

"This office has completed the review of the below-referenced immigrant visa case. You are now ready for an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal, where all interviews for immigration to the US from Canada are processed. This letter provides information on the next steps you must take to continue with your immigrant visa case.

Schedule your visa interview appointment

Please visit https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/iv/information/contact_us to obtain information online or via telephone concerning scheduling an interview appointment for you and those family members included in the petition. If you have not previously registered your information and selected a Canadian Postal Corporation (CPC) courier location on this website, please do so now.

You must have the Passport Number, Date of Birth, Nationality, MTL case number, and visa category for each applicant (principal applicant and all family members, including children) ready in order to access the website. When prompted to select “Trip Purpose”, you must choose ‘Permanently Immigrate to the US.’ After entering your information, you will be prompted to select an appointment time for you and your family."

^^^ You also need your DS-160 confirmation number.

Note that the link does not send you to where you need to register. It sends you to a Contact Us page.

However, click on Home and you will be able to register from there: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/iv (the same link that @D&B had previously mentioned).

Steps once you are registered and the account is confirmed:

  1. Complete Applicant Information;
  2. Choose your Courier;
  3. Complete the payment;
  4. Schedule the Interview; and
  5. Print out the Instructions page.

It's been 2 weeks since we received our P4 letter and keep trying everyday to book my interview but always show up NO AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT. We just worried our NOA2 approval that will expired july 5th. :(

We keep trying to book for my interview since we received our P4 but its always show up NO AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT. That's normal for right now. Nothing is open. Just keep checking.

It's worried us because our NOA2 approval will expired in july 5th.

You can renew for up to a year. I'm not sure of the exact procedure but I'm almost positive it tells you how on the back of your NOA2.

My first response didn't post.
