Living separately due to education and ROC effects?

Hello,

I am a CPR living in Midwest, which I will need to file ROC by 2019 Summer. My spouse (USC) just got an offer letter from graduate program in west coast.

While it should absolutely the best news, it was bitter-sweet when we started to think about the following:

It would be the best if we both can move to the city that her graduate program starts, but I am currently working in a company that I have been successfully established in last 3 years, (15-17, working under OPT EAD, and 17-18 working as CPR in case you wonder)

The issue is... I dont really want to take the risk of moving to other workplaces. Like any other American working culture, I would consider to move only if I have 20% increase in my paycheck considering job security and new working environments (I make my own schedule, I enjoy working with other co-workers, and job is quite easy).

On the mean time, I do really believe the graduate education to my spouse will really enhance her best chance to successfully procure her professions in the long terms and more importantly, she absolutely wants to move to west. So we have to make decision whether to move to West or not and I wonder how it may affect ROC process.

If we decide to move, the chance is that my spouse and I will be likely to be living separate until I found a job, or be able to transfer to western coast, which we dont know whether that is possible or even when it will happen while ROC timeline is approaching next summer.

Being all that said, I wonder how it will affect ROC processes if we live in separate states due to education. Are anyone in similar circumstances like they have to live separately for a while, during which you have to file ROC? And how have been your experiences? Any comments would be appreciated.
