Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Vietnam
Timeline

My wife is also from Vietnam and when she gets her visa, I will be traveling back to Vietnam to bring her to the states.  She has told me, "if you don't come get me, then I might as well go to my sister's house." So, I'm going get her.  I've told my wife that she should take some time and spend it with her friends and family before she comes to the states but she says that she's already spent enough with them and it's time for her to spend some time with me.  Your case is odd in that she rather travel alone to the states, probably somewhere she's never been (cause I know how hard it is to get a tourist visa). It just seems a little fishy to me, that's all.  Does she do a lot of traveling by herself? Where is she from? Is she a Bar girl? Not all women are created equal in Vietnam.  Most have good intentions but once in a blue moon, you'll hear about the bad ones.

She didn't like this and said she was getting tired of arguing with me about it, saying that other friends and customers went alone

Who are these friends and customers? Why do you think she wants it just like them?

@Jeff1980

Maybe all she wants to do is to spend time alone, be it with friends, family, or relatives, before moving to a different country and starting a life and learning the culture that she is not accustomed to.

Maybe she has a special someone that she wants to say good-bye to before moving on.

All I can say is, "Trust your guts."
