Do I have to file taxes if income less than Fed. Filing Requirements?

Hello, I have a pending VAWA and waiting to get my green card, I make my living selling things online or fixing things and resell them on craiglist, I just survive with that money for food and to pay my bills since I am homeowner and the house is pay in full, I don't have any other income and my ex wife left the house a year ago.

 

Now my confusion: I looked for info about filing taxes  from INTUIT in their web they said 

 

"Not everyone is required to file a tax return.  If your income is lower than a certain dollar amount (set by the IRS), the IRS allows you NOT to file your tax return- you are considered by the IRS to be below filing requirements.

Filing Status

Age at December 31, 2017

Must file if gross income is

Single

Under 65

at least $10,350

 

65 or over

at least $11,900

Married Filing Jointly

Both spouses under 65

at least $20,700

 

Both spouses 65 or over

at least $23,200

 

One spouse under 65

at least $21,950

Married Filing Separately

N/A

at least $4,050

Head of Household

Under 65

at least $13,350

 

65 or over

at least $14,900

Qualifying Widow(er)

Under 65

at least $16,650

 

65 or over

at least $17,900

 

So I made $7,300, I see I don't have to file but when time for citizenship comes they will ask me for proof of filing taxes and I won't' have it, so will they deny my citizenship for "No good moral character"? or I should file the taxes anyways?

You do have a filing requirement because, from what you indicated, it sounds like you had net earnings from self-employment of at least $400. That's the trigger in your situation: self-employment income.

You have a filing requirement because you had self-employment income and that is subject to income tax and self-employment tax. I'd suggest maybe try using one of the DIY (do it yourself) software programs, like Turbo Tax. It has an interview style format and will guide you on how to report and file the tax return.
