I know I am a long ways away but, I’m trying to be ahead of the game, so no time is lost.

Because IRS transcripts take 10 days to arrive, I’ve already ordered them yesterday. I intend to fill affidavit of support forms too.

Can you think of anything else I can do/prepare, even partially?

Thank you 🙏🏻

Our case is with the consulate...

Only copies are necessary to send to NVC  and originals are needed the day of the interview at the consulate.

*birth certificates, both

*I-864 affidavit, IRS transcript, w-2 petitioner

*divorce decree, beneficiary

*Police certificate, beneficiary

so far these are the documents that we are getting...

I know some cases can be different in special if the beneficiary has been illegally in USA, overstayed visa, and things like that...

I think this first part of the process is very difficult ... all the anxiety to don't know when will be approve, then when others near your date are getting approved while you still waiting  is not easy! but the day will eventually come. Texas is working very good. Once you receive your approval you can have a very idea when your family member will be here!

hi!

I want to be part of this group because my husband petition is by his son. Category IR5, I-130 PD 11/24/2017 Texas office. We still waiting for the approval.

I am new to the forum.

I applied for immigration of my parents from India as I am US citizen. I sent the I 130 for my mom and dad in september 2017. I received the receipt letter within stipulated period.

But in 3rd week of April I received letter from Potomac center stating that my birth certificated does not carry my name as is the case in many countries.

I had supplied additional supporting documents to prove my relationship with the parent like school certificate, affidavit from parents, my Indian passport that carries names of parents, my marriage licence of USA which also carries names of parents.

But they asked for name on birth certificate or DNA fingerprinting.

But my parents got a birth certificate got issued from India carrying my name which I sent to them on 16th May.

The case status states that the potomac center got it and they will begin the process again.

Any body having any idea how long they take to do it again.

I will greatly appreciate a reply.

GVS

Our case was in Texas. Always goes with Visajourney dates. In the other forum *November filers* cases from Potomac with November dates are getting approved. IR-1/Cr-1 visa and IR5 have similar dates both  petitions are for immediate relatives.
