Tax schedules are the additional forms submitted with 1040.  For example, schedule A is itemized deductions.

Okay so when our joint sponsor filed taxes in 2016 with form 1040 they would have had additional forms to show deductions etc and this Is what they call  tax schedules ?

Note that there is an "or" in that request AND an "if you cannot..".

Supply a tax return transcript OR a complete tax return including W2 and 1099 forms AND all schedules.  They are just describing what a complete tax return would include.

Yes !! I saw that on the first part when it talkes about the tax transcript however the schedules is on a separate line with a x next to it so I was guessing this is something they still require even with the IRS transcript ...?

No need to guess.  Just read my answer and take literally.  Somebody else has already explained that tax schedules are part of a tax return.  One OR, OR, OR the other.  Really!

I would stay away from “guessing” when it comes to dealing with important documents. I always read instructions multiple times until I understand it, and then I read it again.

Okay I didn't mean that how it came across... 🙈 I have spent month and month preparing my file for this !! I just ask for some guidance and help with a document that's all I am not here to be told how important this is , considering I know this ! And seen as it's taken us over a year to get to this point a lot or stress and hard work but thanks for pointing that out to me ...
