Hi Nimba

Sorry, I'm confused with your question. What message was showing on Feb 27th? And are you saying that your current status is showing this, "On April 9, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC1xxxxxxxx, at your local office. If you move, go to"?

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding the RFE deadline. I received a RFE notice with the deadline being March 17th, 2018. I sent my documents on Feb 27th priority mail overnight with delivery confirmation. I have the receipt from the USPS stating that USCIS received the package on Feb 28th. I went to check my case status online on March 27th and it had said that the my case was received at the local office on March 19th (not sure exactly what it said). But today, when i went to check the status online, it states that, "On April 9, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number xxxx, at your local office. " There is no history of the previous case update and I'm freaking out because I have no proof of the previous update(didn't take a screenshot) and Apr 9th is way past my deadline. So my question is, does the deadline mean when the USCIS received the package from the USPS or when the appropriate division receives the package from whoever got the package from the post office.

Thanks!!

many may and june vsc filers received that message

Yeah, i figured. Not super worried about it, just annoyed coz it will take a longer time now. My husband and I joke about how we should invite the officers into our apt for a few days to show them how 'real' our relationship is instead of having to send all these documents over. :D

When did you file your i751 and what service center?

I’m a aug 2016 filer and also received RFE, they received my response March 12th, there hasn’t been any updates online but I went to a Infopass appt last fri and the officer told me that my file is now at the local office and I’m in line to be scheduled for an interview and also told me that it could take up to 21 months to get an interview scheduled here.

I see. Sorry i'm not sure why that happens but I'm thinking its pretty normal. Maybe its their way of letting us know that they are reviewing it before they call us for an interview? I went to get a i551 stamp today and they give it to me for a year...so i'm thinking its going to take a long time to prep an interview for us.
