Hi All,

My husband (from Spain) and I got married two weeks ago after his entry on a K1! So awesome. It took 11 months but we are so happy.

He has not changed his name, but I took part of his name (his full Spanish last name is super long) when we filed the license.

However, I still haven't done all the things I need to do, like get a new license, get new credit cards, etc. So pretty much everything is in my old name.

Also, the marriage bureau in NYC wouldn't let us change our name to what we wanted (another variation of his name but the order is changed) so I may go in the summer and at least change mine to what we had originally wanted. We are thinking he'll just keep his name (it's a variation of his), as we don't want to mess anything up with USCIS.

My question is:

What do we put for me, the U.S. citizen, on the I-485? My original name or the changed name?

Does is matter? Should we put my original so it's clear he didn't marry someone else?
Thanks,

Ann
