I thought the MDL said it was only guns that needed to be controlled.  I guess not.  I wonder if Khan will be instituting Stop and Frisk as part of the crackdown with his tweet related to boosting police power?  Additionally, I think Khan needs to institute a ban on acids and bases as well.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced a tough crackdown on knives Sunday as the city reels from a spike in stabbings that have led its number of homicides to top New York City's for two straight months.

He tweeted: “No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.”

The tweet also included an action plan to boost police power and prevent future violence.

“The city reels from a spike in stabbings”... nice pun!

Funny, I used to carry knives to school when I was 7 and up.  Never once did anyone get stabbed.  What has caused these knives to turn so evil?  Are they just tryin to keep up the status quo with guns?    Are the manufacturers now using some sort of alien steel in these weapons that causes them to act with a mind of their own?

No doubt, I guess having a pocket knife or SAK will be against the law now in London.  The MDL likes to prop up Mr. Khan as a model statesman, I wonder how long it will be before our MDL political types start suggesting the same control.

Already is, last time my Brother was here I pulled out one of my knives to do something and was told that would get you arrested in the UK.

Still have my Grandfathers.

I was listening to the discussion on BBC today, around and around they went trying to avoid the obvious.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Oh come now, London's murder rate may well be greater for the past two months, than that of New York, but considering that we are really talking about a massive drop in New York's murder rate, which was well over 2,000 murders a year in the early 1990s, I am not about to tell my London friends and family to run for hills just yet.

Of course, London's murder rate has been consistently low for decades compared to New York.

I am surprised though, I was told to expect a large spike in New York's murder rate, because the cops would be apparently be afraid of doing their jobs, because of BLM. And it's also strange considering New York's relatively restrictive gun laws.

Who specifically told you to expect a rise in New Yorks murder rate, because cops are scared, due to BLM??????????????????

I could tell you why this is, but it’s not VJ-friendly.   You might be able to deduce the real reason.  Or not.  IDK.

They are not free in the UK, they maybe in Ireland?
