My wife and I submitted her k1 and k2 AOS applications in November. The last update was in January and said the cases are waiting to be scheduled for interviews. We checked the cases online today and neither case number, for the k1 and k2, can be found. We called the USCIS phone number and typed in the case numbers to check their status. Both case numbers couldn't be found again. My wife's EAD case number still works when checking the status but the AOS case numbers can't be found. Has anyone experienced this situation? Thanks

What exactly does it say when you try tracking your case on the website? "Case cannot be found"?

After reading your post, I tried checking my case, and for I-485 it said:

"Validation error. You must correct the following errors before proceeding: User-defined error."

It only appeared today. When I checked it yesterday, it was fine; it said that they got our response to the RFIE.

For my EAD and AP, though, it still says "Case was received".

Try googling the specific wording of the error you get here on Visajourney. I've found a lot of people have experienced the error I'm getting.

Yes, that is the same error that I received online. When I called uscis, the automated system said my case could not be found. Maybe their system is down for certain people. My wife's friend checked her aos case tonight and she had no errors.

USCIS posted on their Facebook page that their online tools would be unavailable today. Maintenance should have been done by 6pm Eastern Time today, but maybe it took a bit longer? I'd try again tomorrow. Good luck!

So, yesterday I got a notice in the mail that my EAD and AP were approved. And when I checked those cases' statuses online, it changed from "Your case was received" to "Your case was approved". The status for my I-495 is still giving me the same error though.

SO, I'm not saying the two things are related in any way, but when I googled that error on Visajourney, another member experienced the same thing: they had an error like that for a bit and then they got an interview notice in the mail. So keep checking your mail, who knows. ☺

You should call and speak to a tier 2 officer skip putting in the case number hit # 2 until it goes to operator happen to me and a lot of January filers. I got the same validation error its a glitch in the system that is unfixable. When I I spoke to the tier 2 officer they checked my case and told me they are requesting my wife for interview. Hopes this helps and you get good news.

Hi there, glad to join this thread. I’ve been having the  “user-defined error(s)” for a month now and counting. My priority date is Feb 02. The last time my case updated was when USCIS acknowledged receipt of my response to their RFIE that’s on March 22nd. I did however called USCIS and the Second officer told me my case is in queue to be scheduled for an interview at USCIS Norfolk application support center, Virginia, but not sure when. This can be really frustrating given all the long wait here and joblessness for close to 6 months now. For those with the same issues, could you please give share any update you’ve had on your cases? Thanks!
