hey guys..quick question..here's a quick summary about what happened to my case..my case was sent to be assigned as PIVOT but I needed to request for an embassy change (for regular processing) so they assigned me a case number in the PIVOT department and then I got the embassy change request approved via email and a new case number..but I never officially received a "welcome letter" saying I should send my stuff in...

My problem is that I have all the documents ready to go except the document cover sheet. I have been waiting for a week already and didn't get anything. I was going to wait on the welcome letter but I was thinking, I have the barcoded cover sheets for the AOS packet and the IV packet as well as a confirmation from DS-260 with the barcode for the new case number. I was going to label each page with our case number and just send it in on monday. Worst case scenario they give me a checklist for the coverpage? at that point they will have to send me the coversheet right?

I just want my part to be over with. Does this sound like a good plan or a stupid plan?

Do you even need a welcome letter? I was at the NVC in September/October 2016 and I definitely sent my documents exactly as you have mentioned - case number written top right of every page and the bar-coded lists. No check lists. No problems. Unless something has changed since then, you don't need the welcome letter.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

Theres like a form that is supposed to be attached to the front apparently that looks like this:

Image result for nvc document cover sheet

I don't need the welcome letter but the people here and from NVC said I should wait for it. But I have heard of ppl sending it without it..Did you have this form?

You probably won't get a case assigned to hyderabad anyway. They will probably just give you a Mumbai case number. Message me when you get your case number if you need help. You just have to email them, it is really easy

My husband is living in Dubai..he is moving back to India by the end of May...at first we had applied for the Abu Dhabi embassy which is now going to be PIVOT..which means its electronic processing (all the papers will be scanned into CEAC instead of being mailed to NVC. Since we knew he was going to move back and also coz Abu Dhabi embassy is heavily delayed to give interviews, we asked for the embassy to be changed to Mumbai
