Hello,

 

I am an Egyptian citizen with a residency in Kuwait. I used to live in Bolivia for 8 months working as an economics and business teacher. My contract in Bolivia was for 2 years; starting from July 2017- July 2019.   Before I went to Bolivia , I was working in Kuwait as a sales engineer for 9 months. I left that job in Kuwait to go pursue a career in teaching, learn Spanish, and to experience South America. I am still a legal resident of Bolivia despite me not being there anymore.

 

8 months into my job and I resigned because of problems that I had with administration, plus I realized  that teaching just wasn't really for me (it was the first time I ever worked as a teacher). Fact of the matter is I graduated with my MBA 2 years ago and I'm still trying to find out what it is exactly that I wanna do career-wise, and part of this process involves resigning/breaking a job contract, and making tough decisions. 

 

I just got back to Kuwait (where my family lives) 2 weeks ago, and I now work as a business development analyst at another engineering company. My USC fiance filed our I-129F last week, and now we're just playing the waiting game. We probably didn't need to do this, but I included a copy of my letter of employment from the school I used to work for in Bolivia in our I129-F as proof of why I was there for 8 months for the sake of transparency. The letter of employment states the duration of my contract (ending in July 2019). 

 

The question to my very long story is, will me breaking my contract in Bolivia or not staying at a job for more than a year yet look bad when the CO reviews our application or be seen as a red flag? 

 

My fiance says I'm being paranoid. I hope that's the case.

I agree you are being paranoid because the CO doesn't care about if you skipped out on work in a country. My wife did the same thing while working in Qatar where she was working at, she went on vacation and never went back to her job in Doha. The CO does not care about it at all as long as it was becAuse of work and not a criminal conviction. Make sure you know you have to get a PCC from Bolivia.
