Hi

I would appreciate if anyone can advise, do we suppose to pay online for visa fee for K1 visa upon making appointment in US embassy in Abu Dhabi?

I am on page of “payment” but it keeps saying “no available appointment” and I can’t make payment. I asked embassy twice, both saying just “please check June availability” followed by “please check July availability”...but my question to them was “how to access to the screen for availability. I even asked how to make a payment then they said I can only pay I’m cash, while I see in this topics, it was paid online.

Hope someone with experience with US embassy Abu Dhabi could reply to my question. I received my packet 3 asking me to book appointment 2 weeks ago, still not able to book any appointment because of sticking in this “payment” website:-(

hi. yes you will pay online when you book your appointment.

Regarding the slot for interview, there should be available dates once they send the p3.

Yes this is what i understood even from embassy...but still the site is showing as “no appointment available”. I do not know where else to ask and how. I keep sending email but no luck.

Hi

Thank you so much for your kind help.

I got reply from support center and was advised that I could not make any appointment because I made a group for 3 of us, so that it kept showing as “no available appointment”. So now I removed my children from my account and made one by one, I finally managed to book for 23rd June.

But I sent now request for “expedite request” as 2 months are too far and we wish to reach US before schools out of this year. Any idea how long later I should reply in case expedite request is granted?

If our interview has to be 23rd June, I would like to visit US on tourist visa. Anyone can give experience entering US while waiting for Interview?

Thank you !

Hi guys, I am K1 case and being waiting for the confirmation letter from the AD embassy to book the interview. This morning I got an email from them without any content or signature, the only thing attached is 4 attachments and instruction to schedule the interview. Is that a confirmation that I can now book my interview?

Is it normal that they just send you an email without saying anything?

Any advice from you is strongly appreciated.

I literally had goosebumps when you said YES! I've been waiting for this for 2 weeks and was checking the available slot everyday. Last week 15 June still available but now I only manage to book it on 30th June. This is really long and I wish there will be a way to expedite it.

Entering this far in k1 process to visit are slim to none. We were denied that. And expediting has to have a serious reason like for example your residency work visa is expired in UAE and youre almost past the 30 day limit and have to leave uae. We used that. School being finished would not qualify because school is out all summer in u.s.

Seriously? I've emailed them 4 times in a month and maybe they feel I'm to annoying, that's why they send me the P3 😂

Making separate appointments was not the proper way of handling this. There is only ONE appointment with X amount of K2's. Call the embassy and explain what you did and see if there is something they should do to tie everyone together.

Expedite requests are not normally given for such a reason as getting to USA for school. You can try. Again, on the phone with the embassy you may want to ask about expediting your visa interview.

You are asking for trouble if you are this close to a interview and you want to visit the US. Immigration does not look kindly on this.

Hi Thank you for your advise.

I have given up on expediting our interview and decided to go for our interview on 23rd June.

I am now preparing to leave for US on Esta visa, getting letter from our Attorney to guarantee on our return to have interview in UAE for K1/K2 visa. But you have mentioned above "You are asking for trouble if you are this close to a interview and you want to visit the US. Immigration does not look kindly on this.", does this mean I will have issue in entering to US on Esta visa?

I read some post, entering on Esta visa would have no issue but just wanted to make sure for everything...

Thank you.
