@Anna&eiad @Greenbaum @GeeRaf How much chat do we need? Is last 15 days enough? Last two months of exported simple text chat is coming out to be 150 pages 😓

About a page per month. Be sure they are the kind that your mother would approve. :D

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share our experience for others that come along and have to endure all of the stress that comes with this process, specifically for the process at Abu Dhabi. :)

Brief time line:

Mar 22 2018 - I-129f sent in, front loaded with chats dating back to 2001

Sep 27 2018 - NOA2

Nov 04 2018 - Case received at embassy - "Ready" on CEAC

Dec 11 2018 - Packet 3 received via petitioner's email address

Feb 03 2019 - Interview, verbal approval

Feb 04 2019 - "Administrative Processing" on CEAC

Feb 05 2019 - "Issued" on CEAC

Feb 06 2019 - Email with tracking number for passports recieved

Feb 07 2019 - Visas in hand

Her daughter is 18 and lives in Philippines with grandparents.  We had no clue whether she could apply/interview in Abu Dhabi with the mother or she had to interview in PI.  No one could answer and the embassy would not answer the phone or reply to emails.  So, we said the worst that could happen is she's told to interview in PI and applied for her in Abu Dhabi.  She was already in Dubai on vistor's visa with mother.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I read about your daughter and the first thing that came to mind was did you happen to pose your question in the sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ? Some good experts there to help.

I usually have a P3 letter from most countries and I do not have one for the UAE. Is there a possibility that you could send a copy to me visa PM here on VJ? I would then be able to help others out with the P3 letter and your great explanation for your journey. Thanks and all the best to you guys.

I have one big question is it better if he travels from Abu Dhabi to USA or he can go to Pakistan and travel from there? POE can be Abu Dhabi for both point but just worried that if he goes to Pakistan before traveling to USA there might be issue. Anyone has any idea?

Does the passport size photo need to have a date on the front for either the medical or the interview?

Sorry for the multiple questions; really hoping we get everything right. Can the sponsor fill out the ds160 or does the applicant have to overseas? He's having problems opening the site in UAE. Did this happen to anyone else?

Where do we get the ID number to pay the ds160 fee?

Does the embassy schedule the interview or can we do that online? Thank you so much!!

btw theres no payment when you fill out the ds 160. the payment is when you schedule the interview and you will enter your application id num assigned from your ds 160.

all the instructions on how to book your interview is part in your packet 3. all will receive 4 attachments

the petitioner or beneficiary will schedule the interview. just enter all the details
