In the email I got confirming I paid and booked my interview, it says "You must print this instruction page and bring it with you to your consular interview, along with the letter or email you received from the Consular Section."

I don't know what letter from the Consular Section is...is that the email I got saying I'm ready to book my interview?

This is for your k1 visa interview ?

Than yes you bring the email. It's important to have that email.

They will ask for it 1st when you walk into the building your interview is in.

So they’re referring to the email that gave me the link to book my interview? And no, I haven’t had my medical yet.

Yes

The top of the email says "

This office has completed the review of the below-referenced immigrant visa case. You are now ready for an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal, where all interviews for immigration to the US from Canada are processed. This letter provides information on the next steps you must take to continue with your immigrant visa case."

the bottom should have  your name and mtl case # etc

you'll need the letter for your medical as well as for your interview

are you scheduling your medical in Montreal? If you have any questions let me know.

Hey @madiartzer!  What was the wait time like for booking your interview?   How soon were the first available openings?

Hey!

First available appointments were just a over a month away from when I was given the go ahead to book! I booked my interview online on April 6th, and the first available interview time was May 16th. This is for the Montreal consulate, anyway.

Thanks!  Ahhhh this is so nerve wracking.  We were silly and before we knew how long this really could take, we booked our wedding on June 15th.  Hoping like crazy we will slide in before that!    Did you have to wait long before getting your case number?

No, we didn't wait too long. You should be okay for June 15th! The next available day for an interview after May 16th was May 18th, and then May 23rd. You might be cutting it really close, but I think you might be okay!

Thanks, that's really nice to know!  I'll feel so much better once we have our interview date! Best wishes for your interview :)

Are you wanting to reschedule for a sooner date or a later one?

Yeah, it’ll be easier to breathe once you know your interview date. I hated living in constant limbo, not being able to make plans because I didn’t know which country I was going to be living in hahaha. Thanks, you too!
