They really are making it a bit hard. Their response yesterday meant that I had to send my response in via priority shipping, hoping it won't get there after the cut-off of 20 days (for me that's May 30th, probably the same for everyone). I wonder if on May 31st they incinerate everyone else's cards/letters and never contact them again lol.

I sent in my statement which was the following:

Then along with those enclosed documents, I put in the original recall notice. Made a copy for myself. Who knows what will happen now, but at the very least, I'm glad that this whole thing hasn't just been met with radio silence from USCIS.

Ketsuban, as always, thanks for sharing!

I sent my recall letter + statement letter on Monday, so I hope it has arrived by now. My recall letter envelope shows that was shipped on May 14th, so I started counting the 20 days since then (Today is the 20th day). I have been following you in the September thread too. I share your frustration... It is a "joke" that it took a week to answer the engagement e-mail account to tell us to send everything within the 20 days. Everyday I more sure that we are going to be penalized for being proactive and trying to fix THEIR mistake (I really hope I´m way wrong). As it for now, I haven´t heard anything back from anyone (no USCIS in Laguna Niguel, nor the recall center, nothing!) and any online service request I do takes almost a week to be assigned and probably another 2 weeks to answer (as happen with the first one). This is all happening in a very bad time for me. I just got a great new job offer, which I accepted I cannot let it pass, so I´m in the between of changing jobs. I feel relief that I am approved and I have a stamp to proof that I can work here, but all this USCIS situation is stressing me out more and more. There is nothing as the safe feeling of having the actual card, which I think we won´t received by the 3 weeks they stated.

(I needed to take all the frustration out, I don´t know anyone in my same situation. I only have you guys to share my frustration with :) )

Interestingly I always used my account at  egov.uscis.gov to check my status and to submit online service requests. I have tried before to create an account at my.uscis.gov, but failed due to some type of error. Just now, I tried again to create an account at my.uscis.gov to check if I will see any different information to what I see in my egov.uscis.gov account. The answer is YES! In this new account at my.uscis.gov I see that on May 4th this update : "We received the card that you returned to us" and on May 7th this update: "We destroyed the card that you returned to us". Well, this is the most updates I have had since a month ago... Now I know that they received my card, which I didn´t know, and that they have destroyed it, which I didn´t know either.

Now I wonder how long is going to take the USCIS to connect the dots of the recall notice to this (that my card has already being destroyed), since I sent the statement on Monday about my card being sent to USCIS a month ago.

Interesting. Mine has only updated to show the recall. Oddly enough, this update is dated 5/14, but I've been checking every day and this is the first I've seen of this update. No mention of my card being received or destroyed, but I already have other proof they have it so I'm OK for now lol. There's another email address we can pester: uscisspecialcases@uscis.dhs.gov. I'm going to email them now with the gist of everything going on and get told by them to stfu too lol

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

I sent them an email too. lol I hope they would respond to us. I am seriously frustrated over the fact that we have done something early on to "help" correct their mistake, but then we are being dragged to this crappy show. I hope they do something about it, because I am tired to go back and forth. They say different things each time, make us do different things each time. I would celebrate if they get this fixed before the end of the month!

Mine still says they recalled my card too. On May 26th, I submitted an online service inquiry requesting for some type of notice on my case. This was prior the e-mail from the recall letter told me to send the card. TODAY, I received an answer to my service inquiry telling basically this "USCIS is aware that the Resident Since date is incorrect due to a production error. You can check the status of your new card at www.uscis.gov/casestatus using the receipt number associated with your initial Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence filing.   " and to send my card with the recall if I haven't done yet... Thank you USCIS for telling me 2 weeks old news...

I'm regretting being proactive too....

I'm going to keep writing in until they print my card.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
