I got the same response from Midwest, but my MyAccount page still says card recalled as of May 14th :(

Hi Ketsuban. Hang in there. I am sure you will hear from them/see a status change soon. We've all waited for so long for the I-751, and then with all this "admin error," they are once again giving us, we really all deserve better.

My patience is really being tested here, but lately I have become quite indifferent and just lowered my expectations.

Mine too!

I emailed special cases again, basically just forwarded my first email to them sent on 4th June and said I haven't received a response and still don't have my green card back.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

I heard back from the Midwest after their email last week.... I'm pissed off. This is what they emailed me: "

Following up on your inquiry regarding your replaced Permanent Resident Card.  We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. If you feel that there are errors on your card, please file a Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.  There is no application fee or biometrics fee if you select the following reason:

·         Reason 2.d, My existing card has incorrect data because of DHS error

If you choose to e-File your application click here and you will be connected to the “E-Filing Form I-90 Online” using the USCIS online filing system.  It provides the steps to e-File this form. "

At this point, and from previous experience, I'm waiting to hear from special cases.. I have the feeling that if I submit the I90, there will be a recall or some bull*** and be back to square one. What it really makes me mad is the phrase" if you feel that there are errors... " what the heck! They sent me the same card they recalled, and now I'm the one having Feelings that is wrong... Everything but saying that they did a mistake....  I guess I'll email again special cases and call...but the feeling Im having is that this is not going to get resolve. That is the feeling I have, not the feeling that my card is wrong, that is a fact!

I just got an answer from special cases email: "We have received your email and will connect with our California Service Center regarding correcting your Permanent Resident Card “resident date.” I will update you once I receive a response from them.  I do apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing you.  Have a great rest of the day."

After emailing them every week... Finally someone that is asking the CSC. Also, I submitted a service inquiry and got answer today to call the 800 phone number because my case is not supported by the UScis online filing system. In the last week, I got 2 different answers to my case and waiting for a third one.

So somebody just tried to call me with a Kansas number, saying that they are from USCIS and is trying to reach me because I emailed the special cases email regarding my incorrect Green card. I am not sure if this is a legitimate call, because I don't answer calls from unregistered contacts, but that was the voicemail that this officer left me. Anyone of you got a call from them, too???

So I just answered the call, because she called again, and told me that they are producing my card right now. She explained to me that it is better to email the customer center midwest email instead of the special cases, because it usually does take a long time before they can get back to the person. Also, she knew that I sent my green card prior to the recall, and said that the office where I sent my incorrect green card is not really speedy with these types of process (lol), and said that I am one of those whose card is just being produced right now. I also checked my account and everything she said was accurate; my status changed-- when my case was "re-opened" and my card is being produced and gave me an approx timeline of when I can expect the card.

She just had to verify some info, but nothing confidential, and I even told her I am not comfortable giving any info on the phone without confirming, so she gave me her name and where she is working from and all. I thought the call was legit when she gave me a recall number, and the subject of my email to the special cases email.

Maybe they are calling people who have been waiting for a long time (3 months since I returned my GC!).

Would you be comfortable posting the phone number here or PMing it to me? I want to save it to my phone because I get spam calls a lot that I ignore.

Sure! I will PM it to you. Thank you!! I hope you hear something from them soon, too! Actually, I am not putting my hopes that high-- given that there is still a possibility that they can mess it up again and still send me a wrong PRC! I have to actually see the card before I can celebrate lol. But keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Thanks! I actually just realised that if they call the number on my I-751 application, they won't reach me. I had to change my phone number after I sent it off :P I appreciate it all the same, maybe I could call them and they'll tell me to get lost haha

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Lol! They might have tried to call you using your old phone number. I didn't try calling the number, I just had her call me again. lol I think they are calling in date order that they received the emails to the special cases email. The way that she explained it to me, it seems like no one was touching that email, and then they just ended up sending it down to field offices or something.

Yeah, I was also surprised that they called me. I thought at first it was a scam of some sort, but then I realized that it wasn't when the Officer knew everything about my case lol Hang in there!!

Just an update - my status now is that they have mailed my card to me, and that the post office will be mailing it to me. My status changed quite a bit these past few days-- from my card being destroyed, then my case being reopened for "reconsideration," and then card production, approval of case, and then now, mailing of card. I am crossing my fingers that they did not mess the card up!!!

Believe09, when did they receive your card at CSC? They got mine on 4/26 and I wonder if they're working in order of receipt or not.

I'm hoping they've worked out the bugs and will send a correct card to you. Otherwise it's just more time wasted!
