That should absolutely not delay it. They instructed in their initial recall notice online that we could leave our cards with officers. Yet we're finding if we go outside of the recall center, we face unacceptable delays despite their claims to the contrary. I think you should submit a service request telling them what you did and ask if you're in line for a new card. Submit it under any category - I submitted one under "notice not received" and they replied to me with the subject "typographical error on green card", so it doesn't matter which you pick. I submitted one about a week ago and am waiting for their response. It will be my third related to this matter.

Thanks Ketsuban.  I submitted a service request June 11 like you suggested but have not received a response from them. However, I checked my dhs.gov case status today (June 15) and the status was updated to "We are mailing you your new card." Finally!

There was no intermediate step of "We have received your card" or "We are printing your new card" so to anyone else still waiting for a status change, don't despair!  Although I do wish USCIS updated our case statuses more reliably to give us peace of mind, I would rather they worked on getting everyone their green card that they've been waiting so long for!

I'm not sure if the service request I submitted had any helpful impact on my timeline, but if anyone is still waiting I would suggest submitting one.

That's great news :D I'm on my third service request now after sending my card back late April. They don't seem to have any intention of re-printing it, but I'll just keep submitting requests until they do.

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

April!! I hope you get your new and correct card soon.  It's ridiculous how excruciatingly slow, confusing and painful this process is.

Yeah, me too! I just tried emailing the email address on the recall letter and it came back as an unknown address. I replied to the loooong email thread we had going, so I know it's the correct address. They must have been overwhelmed with correspondence and decided to shut it down instead of deal with the problem. It's not just me, there's a few others who were instructed to send the cards back to CSC and request an expedite. Last I heard, they pulled my file for review but that was some time last month. I know it has only been two months but when there's no ETA, it makes people nervous. Especially since they're not being very transparent with us. I don't know if my BMV accepts passport stamps and I have a job to drive to every day.

Just an update - they "responded" to my service request, and basically just repeated what it said on the recall notice. Seriously, do they ever read the "comments" that we put in whenever we send a service request? I explained my situation-- wherein I sent my incorrect green card to the address they initially instructed, prior to the green card recall. I emailed the email address that responded to me and instructed me to send a statement of when and where I sent my green card.

I mean, seriously. It sucks that being proactive led to this, but I am not sure if they know what they're doing at all...

That is really weird. I just came here to update on what my response was. I got it a few minutes ago. They said they need another week to research my inquiry and will get back to me. I told them the same as you, that I sent it to CSC and wanted to know the status of my expedite request. I'm hoping they'll look into it for real but I'd hate for them to come back and tell me to send the card to the Eastern Forms Center.

In your case, I would send another request. I'm trying to take the approach of annoying them into doing their job. Maybe in your next request, ask how you're meant to send a card that THEY HAVE to another service center. Actually, how many requests have you done now? I'm wondering if you should contact your local senator or rep to get the heat on these people.

Hmm. They said they need another week???  I think I only did 2 service requests, and just kept emailing the email addresses that they have provided. I asked for an update from the customer engagement email add, and said they can't provide me with any other information as it is confidential and basically just told me about getting a stamp if a need to travel, and how I can track my card once they send it to me. And I was like, seriously???

I will send another service request today. This time, stating that it's outside processing times. I may contact the senator's office in our State if I won't get any reply before the end of this month, because they are seriously being unreasonable now.

Don't lose hope. BFP XX got notification that their card went into production today - they also sent their card to CSC so it looks like they're starting on them :) I would still send another request if you haven't already though!

Ketsuban, I´m always amazed how fast you get answers from the e-mail or online inquiries (a bit jealous too hahaha). Today is being 2 weeks since I e-mailed both e-mail (recall email and the one shown in the uscis.dhs as special cases) asking for updates. I haven´t heard anything (not surprising... in my case it takes 2 weeks to answer, I might be on their black list:o

Anyway, I have couple of updates. This morning around 8am CST I received an e-mail sent from my uscis.dhs account saying "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time". But I went to the account and saw a new update from June 19th: "We are producing your card and will mail it to you" and states that it can take up to 120 days to deliver your new card (120 days?!?! WHAT A JOKE!!!). I´m confused with the "no updates at this time" email and the update in the uscis.dhs with "producing your card". I hope this is true and I´ll have my card in less than those 120 DAYS! No updates in the old uscis.gov account.

Ah, well I got my response after 15 days and even then they were like "SEVEN DAYS" so... lol

That's great, I think you will get your card before 120 days. That's just their safety net to prevent too many service requests, I think. Mine hasn't updated from "We recalled your Green Card" yet, but you and BFP XX both getting those notifications is great news. I'll be keeping a closer eye on my account and pelting them with the SRs as usual until I get some plastic.

It seems that they are getting to us ("the special cases") this week. I hope you see an update soon! I´ll keep you posted if I see any update from my side.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".
