Hi,

I am a US CITIZEN and I had applied a case for my spouse (Indian Citizen). On Jan 31, we received the approval notice from USCIS and they had mentioned they are forwarding our case to NVC. And on March 1, 2018 the status shown on USCIS website case sent to department of state and On march 9,2018 Nvc had received our case.

But till today they had not entered in their system, it almost going to be 1 month. And When I called them yesterday they told me it will take 11 weeks to get it. Whereas, my priority date is JUNE 12,2017

Is it really so slow process? Can anyone also having the same situation going through?

Please help with your valuable suggestions

Thanks

Yes, it is taking a while to get case numbers now. You can head over to the NVC April Filers thread to see. If you are doing electronic processing, people are waiting beyond 8 weeks for case number. Regular cases are taking about 5 weeks.

So, we just have to wait for this long process.. I am in doubt, I can get my wife this year or not.........if this process slow down like this

If you don't get a checklist or run into any other problems, I am sure she will get her visa in the next 5-7 months. It's important to study the NVC wiki, understand it thoroughly, have all the documents you need, if you want to avoid further delays.
