   Why would you make that link? Sarin is not a nerve agent made exclusively in the former Soviet Union by the Russian Chemical Research Institute. Novichok was only made in one place, the USSR, which means one way or another, the Skripal poisonings lead back to Russia.

The statement posted implied that only Russia had the means and motives to conduct a nerve agent attack.  I was simply pointing out how utterly false that statement was, and lot of entities around the world have the means, and even some of them may have the motive.

Who knows, maybe the Ukraine, possibly some of the Central Asian "stans", Poland, Germany (East), etc.  I also suppose most of the more sophisticated intelligence agencies have the ability to mimic the chemical signatures necessary.  Skripall was a double agent meaning he was feeding information to two governments, was he still doing this (i.e feeding UK information to Russia)?  Again, I agree, more than likely the Russian intelligence agency did this, but you cannot deny that it is a slam dunk conclusion based on what we know now.
