Congratulations-a little bit of persistance and being courteous DOES INDEED get you far in this process. Last year at this time, everyone in DOS knew my name. I phoned them EVERY DAY, and e-mailed London every other day. Within 2 weeks, we had wha we wanted.

Congratulations, now the real fun begins !!!! :dance:

Well as some of you have read my cries about the injustice of the embassy in Nigeria...I am so glad to report that my husband is here at last!!!

Here are the details....

I had begged & begged for a joint interview for many moons, so in February 2007 the Chief Immigrant Officer finally granted an interview for 4-11-07. So I flew there of course and we went to the embassy. We were questioned about our relationship in the Fraud Unit separately. After the questioning the investigator told us that we have no problem he will get his visa.

We then went to the visa section for processing. I had then proceeded to a CO and asked him if he was the one handling our case. To my amazement he was the one who had denied my husband initially. He got scared and ran and got the person over the fraud unit who then asked me why I could not wait for them to call us. I replied I only asked him if he was the one handling the case. I have no idea why that man reacted the way he did. Maybe his conscience was bothering him :lol:

To make a long story short after much hassle he got it and now he is here. I want to thank everyone who has been supportive and made comforting remarks because it is not easy to go through this process.

Congratulations! I am very new to this website and am going to go through what you went through I am here in the US my husband is in Lagos I know how the embassy can be there I have been there when I visited my husband. Why were you denied in the first place? How long did it take to get an interview from when you filed?
