So last week on Wednesday, I sent in all the documents that the consulate asked for in Packet 3 with regular mail.

I know that most people in Germany said that it usually takes about 2-3 days after you sent it in for them to send a confirmation e-mail.

Now I know that there was Easter last weekend, but even if you subtract those days, it's been 4 working days, so we've been slightly worried that I haven't received anything yet

Is this completely normal and should we wait another couple days, or should I send them an e-mail and ask if they've received it yet?

So.. I just looked.
I've sent out pack 3 on July 31st and got Pack 4 on August 2nd.
There is no email that confirms them receiving paperworks.

The next you are waiting for is Pack 4, which is an email saying that you can log on to your account at US Traveldocs and schedule your interview.

That might take a few days. No worry for now!

And if you sent as Einschreiben you can track the arrival anyways.

No, I didn't send it as Einschreiben because they said to send it with regular mail in the instructions and I figured it wouldn't get lost or anything

But I just realized something...I'm pretty sure the reason I didn't get an e-mail yet is because I didn't pay the MRV fee yet.

I assumed I would have to pay it when I schedule the interview, but I think I have to pay it first and then when they receive the payment they'll send me Packet 4

I just got the e-mail from the consulate, 7 days after I mailed Packet 3.  That is pretty much the average for Germany.

How's it going with your case?
