Hey, guys!

I applied for my OPT EAD card on January 4th. On January 26th, I got an email from USCIS that my receipt had been returned because the post office could not deliver it. I was instructed to email lockbox support and ask them to reissue the receipt, which is what I did. On February 16th they emailed me saying they would send me a duplicate receipt notice within 10-15 business days. That should had been March 12th, at the latest. I raised a new service request with USCIS and was once again told to contact the lockbox. They emailed me back saying they can't issue a duplicate for the third time, and to talk to the post office and check why my receipt isn't being delivered. The whole thing is odd because I've received a number of other mail from USCIS to my address (the letters telling me to contact the lockbox, and a couple of other letters about an expedite), and it seems the only piece of mail that can't be delivered to me is the receipt.

My question is: is it worth it scheduling an Infopass (closest is four hours away), or trying to find a way to deal with this? Do I absolutely need this receipt? Like, if I don't get it, will my EAD take (even) longer/will it be denied? I understand the receipt is good to have to prove I'm here legally as I wait, but what else would I need this receipt for?

From my point of view, not worthy it....call USCIS and make sure they`ve received your application. As long as you DO have your EAD Application number so you can track it you will be fine. Now one thing to check is, you USPS whether or not they have been delivering stuff to you correctly. That is just my two cents.
