You said your brother and his wife have been given GCs so I assume he is not an USC, right?

If your brother is not an USC then he can not petition you at all. And even if he could, it would take at least 10 years or more.

Once your brother or sister become American citizens, then they can sponsor you.

Will take at least 10 years at minimum to process so you'll have to put up with the weather in England a bit longer.

I'm sorry to hear about your health situation. Given that your brother is a Permanent Resident, he can not petition for you, and it could take more than 10 years after he becomes Citizen an file a petition for you.

If the moisture/cold weather are the factors that have you going through pain, you could investigate about different options such as Australia, New Zealand, or one of the British Overseas territories.

I hope you can return home to Afghanistan soon, and spend some time in your family's land, that would definitely be even better for your body and spirit. I can't even imagine what it is like.

I can’t comment much more in this as I’m starting to get offended (as I often do) by someone who cannot appreciate what a gift the UK has bestowed upon him.

And @JFH

I'm really sorry you have no control over your emotions, it must be exhausting to be offended so often and by such trivial details as the weather in UK, being you the one that mentioned Rain several times, and the OP only said that the weather hurts his wounded muscles and bones, you know, injured, probably when he was imprisoned and likely tortured, or maybe through the journey precisely to the UK. He indeed cannot appreciate the gifts he received, you can see it all over his post. But, hey, it's just pain, the kind of pain you get so use to have that you forget what life without pain is like, at least he's not offended. :)

Perhaps the weather in Afghanistan would be better for your medical situation?

Idk what else to say...but this post seems a little ....weird to me..

Here in Florida we have the rainy season, it rains , it stops and it rains again... And let's not forget the hurricane season! NOT safe for this poster.

Maybe his family can go back to UK and be reunited there?
