My cousin has been denial visa before in Nigeria. Now she is plaining on tourist visit with her husband to the States. On the DS 160 form their was question about if you have been denial visa before. The answer is yes. Now they ask for the reason.  She was just denied then and the reason was not know to her. What could be the reason to add to the DS 160. Please any advice?

Probably immigrant intent or not enough ties to home country.

What did they give her when she was refused? They should give you a piece of paper telling you why. Presumably it's due to 214(b): immigrant intent.

If she really does not know then put not known.

 

But she probably does.
