RFIE - birth certificate?

I got an RFIE in the post today.

I'm also annoyed because I had submitted what they're asking!

It's saying I didn't submit sufficient evidence of my birth record, and that I've submitted secondary evidence and/or a birth affidavit as proof of my birth record.

The copy of my birth certificate I sent in a certified copy of an entry, which came from the general register office (logo in bottom right corner). It has my parents full names on it, my date and place of birth, signature of registrar etc.

So what exactly do they want me to submit? I'm confused.

04/16/18 - Courtesy letter received re: Medical

07/17/18 - EAD card in production, AP approved

07/21/18  - Combo card in hand

10/18/18 - GC Interview  (Approved on the spot)

Two questions.

Is it long form? Does any space of the certified copy of the entry has an entry hand written?

Yes it's long form.

British birth certificates are handwritten in all the boxes.

I went to the state site (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/UnitedKingdom.html)

It says this, which is my birth certificate.

  • England and Wales (including Scilly Isles and Isle of Wight): Available. Certificates of births, adoptions, deaths and marriages may be obtained from the General Register Office, Smedley Hydro, Trafalgar Road, Southport, Merseyside PR8 2HH, or from the local registrar's office in the district in which the birth, death or marriage was originally registered. Long-form birth certificates should be requested, as short-form birth certificates do not contain the parents' names.

I have seen a few posts of people from England receiving the same RFE

They are not requesting from you a secondary evidence, they are asking for a "translation". The letter is generic. I think they want the birth certificate "translated" into typed words.

Basically, what I have seen is people "Translating" it from English to English. I guess is a way USCIS uses to avoid getting blamed if any mistake happens interpreting handwritten names or anything else.

This post should be helpful, maybe even a little funny of how absurd the situation is:
