Just a quick question --

The I-129F requires 2x2 passport style photos. My question is, do they need to be done professionally or In a photo booth? I have downloaded an app on my phone that allows me to produce passport style photos in the US style. could I send the file to my fiancee in the US (I am in the UK) and she print them off?

Yes

I just did this last week for an rfe.

Didnt use an app. But my fiancee emailed me a 600x600pixels passport photo.

Was approved 3 days later.

Good luck,

White background, ears showing, netrual face expression 2in x 2in. If you send it he can upload it to Walmarts and have them print it for pickup.

That's what we did, we didn't want to wait 3-4 weeks for snail mail and we were able to submit the application 2 weeks earlier then we would have if we waited.

NO JEWELRY!  We took pictures that were rejected because of stud earrings.  You can do it ourself but make sure there are no shadows on the face and that the head is 1" to 1 ⅜" and the picture is 2x2.  White background, neutral expression (no teeth).

It just needs to meet the requirements as noted in the I-129F instructions. It does not need to be done professionally, but many people tend to at least have them printed "professionally" at CVS/Walgreens/Walmart/whatever.

I personally just made a 4x6 with 2 photos and cut it myself. I paid like ~$0.50 vs the ~$12 they wanted for passport-style photos.
