Hello was I suppose to make a copy of the I-129F and supporting documents? I did not.

Will I need to send any of these documents to my beneficiary later after the I-129F is approved?

Also if the  affidavit of support done after the NOA2 and before the interview?

I read somewhere that it is only for once you are married and your are now adjusting status to permanent resident.

What information should I be gathering to prepare for after the NOA2?

Thank you!

It isn't bad to have a copy but it is not required.  The affidavit of support will go with the beneficiary to the interview.  It can be done at any time but make sure the pay stubs and tax returns are recent.

After NOA2 we filled out the DS-160 for all beneficiaries, paid the MRV, scheduled the interview and did the medical.

I made copies of tax transcripts, the affidavit of support, Rose's annulment paperwork, birth certificates of all beneficiaries, Rose's CENOMAR (Philippines only), my divorce judgement, the DS-160 confirmations, the immunization paperwork from medical, the interview confirmation, the NOA2, the beneficiaries passport bio pages, my pay stubs, and my W-2s for the last 3 years.

I prefer to be prepared rather than to not have something.

I copied a total of 42 items and Rose has the originals.  The affidavit of support requires a "wet" signature.  No copies allowed.  So if you have to mail it, keep that in mind.  The rest can be scanned copies.

Thank you that was very informative!

We are just doing the same thing!  Trying to figure out what we need.  Our interview is scheduled for April 17.  Once you get NOA2 this can really fly.

Congratulations on our NOA2 and interview ! That is exciting, it has been quite a long wait for you both.

I noticed you had an RFE, do you mind sharing what it was for?

We are really hoping we provided enough information and did everything correctly.

*fingers crossed*

Nope I didn’t make a copy... you can but you don’t have to.

The affidvait of support goes goes to the interview with the beneficiary after you receive the NOA2, I only got asked for that but insisted they took the letter we had written from his employer too just Incase (and because we went to the effort to get one)

they say say you should take W2s, print outs of savings and bank account money and a letter from ththe employer saying how much the petitioner earns.

You also need your police reports vaccination cards with up to date vaccines (your not required to have them all but I would recommend getting them before the medical as they are pricey on the day of and even more once you enter the states) so go ahead and do all them, be mindful that police reports for some countries are only valid for 6 months, they only take a few weeks to come through so you can wait a few months before getting them

Congratulations on just getting married! Any tips on long distance? It is going to be long wait for us and with work we cannot really visit...

We are also going through the London Consulate. Our other worry is that my fiance had tried to come to the USA when he was 21 on an Esta but was returned at customs because he mentioned getting work. ( His biggest regret ) He is no longer eligible for the Esta program.

We are unsure if this will effect the K1 process. Especially during the interview, if they ask if he has ever been to America before and will have to explain his denied entry...

So for me my interview in London was extremely relaxed they asked me 1 question and it was how did you meet (we were both military working at a NATO base, so that may have helped us) my interview took a whole time of 5 minutes.

As far as I’m aware it shouldn’t affect his visa as he technically didn’t enter the USA so didn’t break any immigration law, but if they ask him just make sure he is honest about it.

Long distance wise me and my husband met in July 2014 he left Germany to return to USA April 16 and I’ve just moved to the states 2 weeks ago so we did 2 years of long distance, I visited him every 3/4 months however that was with an ESTA, Skype and FaceTime are amazing things these days so just look into the future and where you could be and you will be fine.
