SSN if you don't get within 2 weeks go to a local SSA office to get it.

Green card normally doesn't show up for 1-6 months.  Did you pay the $220 immigrant fee online?

You have a green card.  Your endorsed visa is a valid temporary green card (I-551).   Grab your passport and look at the visa.

It's up to you to get your SSN.  You may have to contact your HR to let them know you're waiting for the SSN after you've applied.  While they seem to come in fairly regularly for people now, back when I immigrated, it was actually rare for them to show up even when you marked the DS-260 correctly.

I think it's the luck of the draw with immigration. I swear everything went wrong with my application. My passport/visa got lost in the mail after the Consulate put me in AP for a couple weeks. But miraculously my SSN card came 1 week after POE and green card 2 weeks after POE. They still screwed up my name but the fact I got both makes me want to go out and buy a lottery ticket.

They say wait 3 weeks to see if the SSN card comes. If not go down to the SS office and ask for your number. There is some sort of central database for immigration as when I went to the DMV they were able to look me up. That's how I learned immigration decided to change my name. I would be surprised if your name is not in the system by now. Go down or call and find out from SS.

My SSN card took 3 weeks. My plastic green card took 63 days and I paid the fee 6 days before I arrived.

You can work without the plastic card and without the SSN. I started work less than 2 weeks after I arrived. I couldn’t get paid until I had the SSN but I was working and they just held back my wages until the SSN card arrived.
