N400 background check delays

I filed my N400 with my wife back in July 1st week 2017, wife already got her US Passport, my case still shows "Fingerprint appointment was scheduled",  I am not able to submit service request because the processing time for my location says I cannot submit if it is after January 31st 2017. I took 3 infopass appointments so far, and all I am told is that my case is pending background checks. I have had no criminal background all through my life, and no speeding or traffic tickets too in the last 18 years. Me and my wife filed joined tax returns every year but I had about 35 days more of international trips than her. Could this be causing the delays ? I asked my local senator to enquire but he has not yet got back to me. Any suggestions on what I can do to expedite my case ?

In three more years you can apply again based on her citizenship.  I'm kidding, you'll be fine.  There's nothing more you can do but wait.

My case is also pending in fingerprint app scheduled and I applied in June 1 2017. Do you have a name change?

I do not have name change. My wife had name change but got her interview in 6 months. Mine is no name change, still pending 9 months today. What about yours ?

Then it seems not the reason of name change. Do you have a job when you submitted N-400? I changed my first name and last name (my husband's) and no job when I submitted so I often doubt it's some reason from that.

I know several people who are homemakers(housewives and parents) who had no job or worked temp jobs , but still got interview and passed in 4-5 months. Job should not matter I think

I applied earlier then you, and I'm still waiting. Seriously, if you are still in the time frame based on your local office, there is nothing we can do beside waiting patiently.
